Why Suki and the Dragon?
A key philosophy of Who's Up 4? is the best way to make new friends is to meet and do something together. So we say "Go On, Get Out!" - short for Go Online to Get Outside or use your computer to find other things to do.
A second key philosophy is "Whoever you are. Whatever you're up for". We don't think it matters who you are or why you're here - what's important is your openness to meet new people.
That's why we have "Suki and the Dragon". If a cat and a dragon sharing a drink doesn't illustrate this clearly, we don't know what does.

Why the Site?
One of our founders likes travelling and has worked abroad in five countries, travelled forty more, and lived from the west to the east in the UK.
Each time he stopped somewhere he became more aware of the difficulties of making new friends in a new place.
Then one day in 2006, while working near the Suspension Bridge in Bristol, he had the idea of 'asking the internet' who was up for a drink in a nearby pub. He knew from travelling that although meeting new people initially feels funny, it is always rewarding.
Teaming up with his brother, an award winning artist, they designed and built the site you see here, and use it extensively to organise their own events.
